In all felony cases in Jackson County, and some misdemeanor cases, the Chief Magistrate or his Associate, may impose special conditions on a bond prior to an individual being able to bond out of the Jackson County Jail. Those conditions normally involve refraining from using or possessing alcohol, firearms, and drugs (unless prescribed by a physician) while out on bond, not violating any other laws while out on bond, and in cases of violence, having no contact with the victim in the case. If violated, the Defendant's bond can be revoked and he or she can be remanded to the Jackson County Jail to await trial.
