Spring into Recycling/Shred It Event

Saturday, May 12, 2012 - 8 a.m.-noon

Jackson County Transfer Station, 16 Hendrix Drive, Jefferson

Electronics accepted: Personal Computers, Laptops, CD Roms, Microwaves, Modems, Printers, Phones, Wire/Cabling, Foppy/Disk Drive, Fax Machines, Copiers, Servers, UPS batteries, Circuit Boards, Mice, Typewriters, PC Power Supplies, Keyboards, Scanners, Test Equipment, Monitors, Stereos, VCR/CD Players, Networking Equipment. No televisions, but you may take them to the landfill and pay $4 for disposal.

Document Shredding items you may want to bring include: Bank Information, Income Tax, records, Insurance coverage, Credit card offers/information, Cancelled/blank checks, Investment information, Financial statements, Personal bills, Legal papers, Medical records. American Security Shredding provides this service for citizens, if you are a business or if you have more than 5 boxes of material, please call us to make arrangements. You may bring up to five (5) boxes of confidential documents to shred. Watch your material being shredded in the video display monitor. No need to remove paper clips, folders, notebooks, etc.

Also Accepting: Florescent Light Bulbs (first 6 free, $1 per additional bulb), Household Batteries, Cell Phones, Oil / Latex Paint (first 6 free, $1 per additional can), Auto Batteries, Auto Oil, Plastic Bottles (recycling numbers 1 & 2), Aluminum Cans, Small Metals. 

Good Used Clothing, used Eyeglasses and Canned Goods to be accepted for local charities

Get out your good used shoes that are just taking space in your closet (come on ladies and gents, you know you want some new spring and summer shoes and you don't need those winter shoes now) and donate your used shoes - we're donating to Soles4Souls March 15-May 15.

Got an elderly or disabled family member, church member or neighbor?

Give them a helping hand! Why not offer to bring them or their items?

 THIS IS NOT A FREE TRASH DAY - THERE WILL BE A CHARGE FOR TRASH TAKEN INTO THE TRANSFER STATION.
