Process for obtaining a Building Permit

Please provide the following to obtain a building permit. When filling an application for an Electrical, Plumbing and HVAC Permit, include the subs State License and Business Number at the time of submission of the application. Any incomplete application will not be accepted. Affidavits are no longer needed.

1. A septic tank permit is needed from the Jackson County Environmental Health Office which is located at: 260 Lee Street - Jefferson GA 30549. Phone: 706-367-3643.
2. A receipt that the water connection has been paid is required.
3. A Driveway permit (done at the time of building permit application in our office) .
4. E-911 address for property 706-367-1234 .
5. A copy of the recorded plat from the Clerks office with house drawn to scale showing all setbacks .
6. A copy of E & S Blue Card and General Contractor License .
