The Clerk of Superior Court handles state, superior, civil and criminal records, juvenile court, adoptions, and military discharges.
Our deeds records date back to when the County was first established, 1796, and these records are available to the public.
Our real estate records are computers since January, 1988.
Since 1999 we have been connected statewide with the Georgia Superior Court Clerk Cooperative Authority -- allowing an individual to check all counties from one location.
All Clerk's records are now on computer with the public search terminals available for public use. For anyone who is not familiar with our programs, employees will be glad to assist them.
We are currently imaging our real estate records, civil records, and criminal records so that copies will be more readily available to the public.
