Power


There are three providers of electricity in Jackson County. Georgia Power, Jackson EMC, and the City of Commerce. If you are unsure of your provider look at the power meter at your location. If it is Georgia Power it will say Southern Company on it, if it is Jackson EMC it will say Jackson EMC on the meter, and if it is Commerce it should say Commerce Power on it.

Water


There are seven different providers of water in Jackson County. The municipalities of Braselton, Commerce, Hoschton, Jefferson, Maysville, and Nicholson have their own water systems; however the Jackson County Water and Sewerage Authority is the largest provider of water in the county and serves most of the unincorporated areas of the county including the municipalities of Arcade, Pendergrass, and Talmo.

Natural Gas


Much of Jackson County has no natural gas service. The City of Commerce does provide natural gas service in a limited area. Three other providers provide limited service throughout the county.
